Job Description:

An ‘Outstanding’ Primary School in the Borough of Barnet is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant (Part Time) to join their team starting September 2025. The position involves working with children aged 4-11 years, supporting students with SEND/SEMH needs, and assisting class teachers in delivering lesson material and meeting academic targets. It is a Long-Term, Part-Time role during Monday-Friday mornings for at least the full academic year.

Job Responsibility:

Working with children aged 4-11 years in and out of the classroom
supporting students with SEND/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, focusing on Phonics and Reading
helping class teachers to deliver lesson material and meet academic targets

Requirements:

Strong academics across the board
desire to work with children of all ages and abilities
previous experience working with children and SEND/SEMH needs
confident and motivated individual
