Job Responsibility:
Targeted Interventions: Delivering high-impact, small-group sessions in synthetic phonics and early number fluency to close attainment gaps
Pastoral Mentoring: Acting as a key point of contact for pupils requiring emotional regulation support, utilising positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques
Inclusion Support: Working closely with the SENCo to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils with diverse learning needs
Classroom Preparation: Creating and organising bespoke sensory and visual resources to support the daily curriculum
Assessment Assistance: Observing and recording pupil milestones, providing the Class Teacher with accurate feedback to inform future lesson planning
Safety & Safeguarding: Upholding the highest standards of child protection and playground safety during unstructured times
Requirements:
Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent degree-level experience)
Demonstrable experience working within a UK primary school or nursery setting
Exceptional verbal and written English, with the ability to build rapport with parents and staff
A self-starter attitude with the ability to use initiative without constant supervision
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for a new one via Randstad
