Job Description

Randstad is currently recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support a wonderful school community in Exeter. If you have prior experience working with children and want a role that offers an excellent work-life balance, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting the classroom teacher with daily lesson setups and activities
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to support reading, writing, and numeracy
  • Creating a positive, safe, and engaging environment for young learners
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and supporting children during break times

Requirements

  • Experience working with children (e.g., schools, nurseries, youth clubs, sports coaching, or volunteering)
  • A patient, resilient, and encouraging personality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one)
