Primary Teaching Assistant (EYFS) – Crawley. Full-time | January Start | £89 per day + additional pay for after-school club. We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-organised primary school in Crawley who are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support Early Years (EYFS) provision on a full-time basis from January. This role also includes responsibility for supporting the school’s after-school club, with additional pay provided for these hours. This is a well-structured school with strong Early Years provision, clear routines, and a nurturing, child-centred approach to learning. Staff are well supported by an experienced Early Years team, and expectations are clear and consistent across the setting. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS staff during the school day, supporting learning through play, early communication, and social development. After school, you will help deliver a safe, engaging, and well-organised after-school club for pupils.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting learning within the EYFS classroom through play-based activities
Assisting with phonics, early language development, and early number work
Supporting children with routines, transitions, and emotional regulation
Working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team
Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Supporting the running of the after-school club, including activities, supervision, and pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Up-to-date safeguarding training
Previous experience working with children in an EYFS or primary setting
Nice to have:
Has experience working within EYFS or early years settings
Is nurturing, patient, and proactive
Enjoys working as part of a team
Is confident supporting children at the end of the school day in a less formal setting
