Job Description:

Randstad Education is looking for a motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a variety of school communities in Croydon. This role offers the flexibility to work either full-time or part-time during the school terms.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborating with teaching staff to execute lessons and manage classroom logistics
  • Delivering tailored academic support to individuals or small clusters of learners
  • Implementing effective behavioral strategies to preserve a calm and focused classroom
  • Assisting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure curriculum access
  • Fostering a welcoming, diverse, and encouraging school culture
  • Engaging in staff briefings, school functions, and planning sessions

Requirements:

  • Previous background in a childcare or primary school environment
  • A dedicated focus on child protection and the safety of all students
  • Formal education or childcare certifications are preferred but not required

Nice to have:

  • CACHE level 1 or 2
  • CACHE level 2 or 3
  • early childhood studies degree
  • health and social care experience
  • health and social care qualifications (NVQ)
  • HLTA
