Job Responsibility:
Plan and execute rigorous, evidenced-based interventions for pupils identified as working below age-related expectations in Maths and English
Create customised visual aids, manipulatives, and scaffolding tools to support learning within the Key Stage 2 classroom
Assist the Class Teacher in administering standardised reading/spelling tests and meticulously recording results for analysis
Act as a second adult in the classroom, circulating effectively to reinforce instructions and address minor off-task behaviour swiftly
Provide encouraging and constructive feedback to pupils during independent work sessions to maintain motivation
Attend planning and intervention review meetings, providing crucial input regarding pupil response and progress data
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is mandatory
Significant proven success in delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to Key Stage 2 pupils
Confident understanding of the structure of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Year 5 and 6 expectations
Excellent verbal and written communication, with a high degree of professionalism and reliability
Must possess a current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
