As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in fostering the educational and personal growth of primary-aged children. Working in partnership with committed teachers, you will help cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom where every student can flourish. Whether you are helping with general class activities, offering bespoke 1:1 assistance, or leading small groups, your involvement will be essential to pupil achievement.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate the delivery of inspiring lessons
Offer dedicated 1:1 or small-group interventions for pupils requiring extra academic help
Support effective classroom management to ensure a constructive and calm learning atmosphere
Provide tailored assistance to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as required
Assist in the preparation and organisation of educational resources and equipment
Participate in school-wide events, functions, and parent-teacher consultations
Requirements:
Prior experience working with children, ideally within a primary education setting
A patient, nurturing, and encouraging temperament when supporting young learners
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
A high degree of flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset
Relevant childcare or education certifications are preferred but not mandatory
An unwavering commitment to safeguarding and child welfare (an enhanced DBS check is essential)
