Job Responsibility
Inspirational KS2 Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-impact lessons that align with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum, ensuring all abilities are challenged and supported
Academic Progress & Interventions: Utilise robust formative and summative assessment strategies to accurately track student milestones, using data to implement effective catch-up or stretch interventions
Inclusive Classroom Leadership: Manage and deploy classroom Teaching Assistants effectively, ensuring that pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL) can fully access the lessons
Positive Behaviour Frameworks: Maintain a structured, calm, and productive learning environment by seamlessly utilising the school's positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
Holistic Student Development: Cultivate a stimulating classroom culture rooted in mutual respect, where independent learning, resilience, and emotional well-being are heavily championed
Collaborative School Contribution: Maintain open, professional communication with parents and carers, and participate actively in phase planning, staff meetings, and whole-school initiatives
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A proven track record of teaching primary education within a UK school setting. (Experienced KS2 generalists and Early Career Teachers are welcome)
Deep KS2 Curriculum Knowledge: A strong understanding of the National Curriculum frameworks for junior pupils, along with confident literacy and numeracy skills
Exceptional Classroom Management: The ability to establish clear routines, high expectations, and an inclusive, warm environment from day one
Commitment to the Academic Year: The professional reliability to commit to a full-time, 5-day-a-week schedule starting in September 2026
Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
