Randstad is excited to announce a vacancy available for a year 5 Teacher to work at a Primary School in St Albans. If you are a year 5 Teacher focused on working together to achieve the highest educational standards and looking forward to being a part of an amazing team of experts, this is your chance to be a part of this prestigious and beautiful school. This is a full time position available to start from September 2026!

Job Responsibility

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over a whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Ability to communicate with and encourage children with additional needs
  • Dedicated interest in children's education and creating the best learning environment
  • Positive outlook and attitude
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods
  • Good organisational and verbal communication skills

Requirements

  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
  • A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Being passionate about teaching and learning
  • Availability to start ASAP
  • Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary
  • Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
