Passionate Primary Teacher Needed for Specialist ASD School in Mitcham! A distinguished independent special school in Mitcham is seeking an exceptional Primary School Teacher to join our committed team. We cater to pupils aged 4-12, providing a bespoke, high-quality education designed to unlock the full potential of every child. We pride ourselves on our nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive approach.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering engaging and accessible lessons specifically crafted for the individual needs of our pupils
  • Fostering pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Helping pupils thrive in a secure and understanding setting

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience working with children with ASD and/or other special educational needs is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • The ability to differentiate teaching effectively to meet a wide range of diverse learning needs
  • Familiarity with various communication methods (e.g., PODD), or a willingness to learn
  • Strong classroom management skills that promote a calm and productive learning atmosphere
  • A genuine commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and understood

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with children with ASD and/or other special educational needs is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with various communication methods (e.g., PODD)
