Job Responsibility
Design, prepare, and execute intellectually stimulating lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, precisely adapting methodologies to stretch and support the diverse learning profiles within the classroom
Strategically manage and deploy classroom Teaching Assistants to optimise student outcomes, ensuring that pupils requiring Special Educational Needs (SEN) support or English as an Additional Language (EAL) guidance receive highly effective provisions
Establish and maintain an orderly, warm, and highly focused classroom culture rooted in positive reinforcement, high behavioural expectations, and emotional safety
Maintain professional, transparent, and proactive communication with parents, carers, and senior leadership regarding academic benchmarks and pupil well-being
Participate actively in phase planning, curriculum standardisation, staff briefings, and broader school community initiatives
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory
A documented history of successful classroom teaching within the UK primary education sector
A deep, contemporary understanding of primary school frameworks, age-appropriate assessment metrics, and evidence-based literacy, phonics, and numeracy strategies
The ability to establish robust classroom routines, capture pupil engagement, and maintain an atmosphere of mutual respect from the outset
The reliability to commit to a full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule starting in September 2026 for the duration of the academic year
A current Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new application through Randstad)
