We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) to join our partner Primary School based in the charming village of Walkern for a long-term placement starting in September 2026. This dedicated village school supports pupils through their crucial developmental milestones, focusing heavily on core literacy, numeracy, confidence, and social-emotional growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Bespoke Curriculum Design: Plan, differentiate, and deliver high-impact lessons tailored to the specific learning paces and needs of your pupils, aligning strictly with the primary National Curriculum framework
  • Core Subject Mastery: Seamlessly incorporate engaging reading strategies, creative writing focus, and mastery-approach mathematical concepts into your daily teaching
  • Classroom Team Leadership: Direct, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of classroom Teaching Assistants within your room, ensuring a coordinated, safe, and positive approach to learning and behaviour support
  • Holistic Assessment: Utilise primary assessment frameworks and regular formative trackers to accurately monitor, record, and celebrate pupil progress
  • Phase Team Liaison: Collaborate regularly with year-group colleagues, early years practitioners, or Key Stage leaders to ensure consistent development and smooth year-to-year transitions
  • Parental Partnerships: Maintain sensitive, transparent, and encouraging communication with parents and carers, establishing a consistent network of support within the local community

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A proven track record of teaching within a UK primary school setting (open to EYFS, KS1, or KS2 specialists). Both seasoned practitioners and exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome
  • Specialist Subject Knowledge: A deep understanding of adaptive teaching pedagogy, age-appropriate curriculum milestones, and positive behaviour management strategies
  • Emotional Resilience: A calm, grounded, and patient demeanour, with the ability to lead a classroom confidently during periods of high student energy or learning anxieties
  • Collaborative Spirit: A genuine desire to work as part of a highly unified, school-wide team that puts the holistic well-being of the child first
  • Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
