Job Responsibility
Plan, prepare, and teach creative, engaging lessons aligning with National Curriculum
adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning profiles
utilise formative and summative assessment frameworks to track student milestones
implement tailored catch-up or stretch interventions
manage and deploy classroom Teaching Assistants effectively
ensure pupils with SEND and EAL receive targeted guidance
foster calm, stimulating, inclusive classroom culture rooted in mutual respect and positive reinforcement
maintain open, supportive, professional communication with parents and carers regarding student development
participate actively in phase planning, staff meetings, professional development sessions, and whole-school community events
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
proven history of classroom teaching within a UK primary school setting
deep and up-to-date understanding of primary pedagogy
age-appropriate assessment methods
effective literacy/numeracy strategies
exceptional classroom management
ability to establish clear routines and high behavioural expectations
commitment to full-time 5-day-a-week timetable from September 2026
