Job Responsibility:
Inclusion Strategy: Design and implement highly effective, differentiated teaching strategies to ensure equitable access to the curriculum for pupils with diverse learning needs
IEP/Provision Review: Lead the review and adaptation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Provision Maps for pupils in the class, working with parents and the SENCo
EAL Support: Utilise strategies to support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL), promoting rapid language acquisition and classroom integration
Behaviour Management: Implement restorative justice and relational approaches to behaviour management, focusing on repairing harm and promoting responsibility
Resource Management: Effectively utilise the allocated budget for specialist classroom resources related to inclusion and differentiation
Professional Development: Actively participate in, and potentially lead, training sessions focused on inclusive pedagogy for the wider staff team
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory
Proven, successful experience teaching in a diverse and inclusive primary setting, ideally within Key Stage 2
Clear demonstrable knowledge and commitment to inclusive practice and managing complex needs
High level of collaboration, empathy, and excellent communication skills with parents and external professionals
Must possess a current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
