Job Description:

Primary schools in the Hastings area require consistent and dependable teaching support to cover staff absence on both a short-term and long-term basis. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to teachers who can integrate quickly into different school environments and keep learning on track. You may be in a different classroom week to week, or remain in one setting for a longer placement. In either case, the focus is the same: deliver clear teaching, maintain order, and ensure pupils continue to progress.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take responsibility for a class in the teacher’s absence
  • Deliver pre-set work or plan lessons where required
  • Maintain behaviour standards and follow school policies
  • Adapt to different year groups and classroom expectations
  • Provide continuity during periods of staff absence

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous UK classroom experience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
What we offer:
  • Flexibility to choose when and where you work
  • Opportunity to build ongoing relationships with schools
