We are working highly respected specialist school seeking two dedicated teachers to support Key Stage 2 students (Years 3 to 6) with complex needs. This is an environment where you are truly valued for the difference you make every day. About the Students & Setting: This is a specialist educational provision where every student requires a bespoke approach. Age Group: Primary Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6). Needs Focus: All students have identified Special Educational Needs (SEN), including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), ADHD, and SCLN (Speech, Language, and Communication Needs). Academic Profile: Students typically present with an academic delay of 1 to 4 years behind their peers. Small Class Sizes: To ensure effective support, class sizes are capped at a maximum of 6 students, supported by one or two dedicated Teaching Assistants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Behavioral Support: Supporting students who may be hesitant about learning and require intensive motivation
  • Individualized Support: Providing focused assistance, including supporting a specific student with Autism who struggles significantly with change
  • Creative Pedagogy: Utilizing creative teaching methods and strong visual aids to make learning accessible
  • Structure and Clarity: Implementing an environment that supports children in understanding the 'now and next' approach to daily activities and learning goals
