  • Maintain an exemplary classroom that serves as the school's benchmark for best practice
  • Interpret phase-wide assessment data to identify under performance and execute rapid interventions
  • Execute learning walks and formal observations to provide actionable feedback and mentoring
  • Lead the development of a creative, research-informed curriculum that challenges all learners
  • Communicate Senior Leadership priorities to the team and relay phase-specific needs to the SLT
  • Oversee the Key Stage budget and physical resources to ensure maximum impact on learning

Requirements:

  • Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status with a minimum of 3-5 years UK Primary experience
  • Documented evidence of raising standards in a subject or phase leadership capacity
  • Advanced understanding of evidence-informed teaching (e.g., Rosenshine's Principles, Metacognition)

  • Certified knowledge of KCSiE 2025/26 and statutory safeguarding procedures

Nice to have:

  • Ability to remain resilient and decisive during high-stakes periods (e.g., SATs, Ofsted)
  • Skilled at building high-trust relationships while maintaining professional accountability
  • Able to look beyond the immediate classroom to the long-term goals of the school
  • Committed to a "no-blame" culture and collective team success
  • Proven ability to balance a full-time teaching load with leadership administrative duties
  • Emotionally intelligent and capable of tailoring communication to pupils, parents, and peers
