Job Description

Maternity cover beginning September 2026 for a 3‑form entry primary school in Horsham. An opportunity to join a school known for its strong leadership, collaborative culture, and high‑quality teaching environment.

Job Responsibility

Full Class Teacher responsibilities for a well‑settled Year 4 class
Delivering engaging teaching across the KS2 curriculum
Working closely with your year‑group team to plan, deliver and assess
Building positive, supportive relationships with pupils and parents
Contributing to a rich, creative curriculum and wider school community

Requirements

Qualified Primary Teacher (ECT or experienced)
Confident teaching across KS2
Passionate about high‑quality learning and pupil progress
Positive, reflective practitioner
Skilled at building relationships and creating a nurturing classroom
Strong team‑player who values shared planning and collaboration
Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
