Job Responsibility

  • Support individuals and small groups of pupils to grasp core literacy and numeracy concepts
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored education plans for pupils with additional needs (SEND)
  • Help maintain a highly organised, safe, and positive learning environment within the classroom
  • Support the lead teacher by preparing creative resources, activities, and educational displays
  • Provide active, attentive supervision during outdoor break times, assemblies, and school excursions
  • Provide regular feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress, engagement, and social development

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a child-centred environment (e.g., classrooms, nurseries, youth work)
  • Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in both English Language and Mathematics
  • A warm, empathetic, and flexible approach to managing varied classroom tasks
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one with us)
  • Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with pupils, teachers, and external visitors
