Job Responsibility

  • Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher with preparing resources and maintaining a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Targeted Intervention: Provide vital one-to-one and small group support, focusing on literacy and numeracy
  • Inclusion: Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Behaviour Management: Help manage classroom behaviour positively, encouraging good conduct and focus
  • Supervision: Ensure student safety and well-being during break times and lunchtimes
  • Compliance: Follow individual school policies and safeguarding procedures to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children within a classroom or similar educational setting
  • A reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • The ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's education and emotional growth
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
