Whether you are looking to reclaim your weekends, or you're an ECT wanting to experience different school settings before committing to a permanent role, supply teaching in Southend offers the perfect mix of variety and flexibility.

Job Responsibility

  • Seamless Coverage: Stepping into diverse classroom environments and delivering pre-planned lessons with confidence and enthusiasm
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere using effective behavior management strategies
  • Instant Impact: Quickly building rapport with pupils and staff to ensure a successful day of learning
  • Flexibility: Being the "helping hand" schools need, whether it's a last-minute morning call or a pre-booked week of cover
  • Marking & Feedback: Ensuring all work from the day is marked and leaving a handover note for the returning class teacher

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • A flexible, "can-do" attitude and the ability to think on your feet
  • Recent teaching experience with 2 professional/proven references
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role)
