Creative Autonomy: Move away from rigid SATs preparation and focus on sensory-rich, engagement-based learning that meets the specific needs of your pupils. Small Class Sizes: Lead a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants in a small classroom environment (typically 6-10 pupils), allowing for true 1:1 focus. Specialist Career Development: Gain expertise in leading an EHCP-led classroom, working with multidisciplinary teams of therapists and specialists. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £140 - £233, paid every Friday via Randstad. Your Role as a Primary SEND Lead As a Primary SEND Teacher, you are responsible for creating a nurturing, structured, and safe world where foundational learning can take place. Bespoke Lesson Delivery: Adapt the Primary curriculum into sensory stories, practical 'Life Skills' sessions, and play-based learning that aligns with each student's EHCP targets. Communication Leadership: Utilise total communication environments-incorporating Makaton, PECS, and Colourful Semantics-to ensure every child can express themselves. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Physios to integrate therapeutic goals into the daily school routine. Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of LSAs/TAs, ensuring a consistent and 'low-arousal' approach to classroom and behaviour management.
