We are seeking Qualified Primary Teachers (QTS) who are passionate about special education. Job Responsibility:
Bespoke Lesson Delivery: Adapt the Primary curriculum into sensory stories, practical Life Skills sessions, and play-based learning that aligns with each student's EHCP targets
Communication Leadership: Utilise total communication environments incorporating Makaton, PECS, and Colourful Semantics to ensure every child can express themselves
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Physios to integrate therapeutic goals into the daily school routine
Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of LSAs/TAs, ensuring a consistent and low-arousal approach to classroom and behaviour management
Requirements:
Hold QTS: Qualified Teacher Status and experience within a Primary setting (EYFS/KS1/KS2)
SEND Advocate: genuine interest in or experience with Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, or SEMH
Highly Adaptable: can pivot lesson plan to meet emotional or sensory needs of students
Committed: hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
