Job Description:

Primary SEND Teacher | Specialist Educator | Local SEN Schools. We are seeking Qualified Primary Teachers (QTS) who are passionate about special education. Whether you are an experienced SEND practitioner or a Mainstream teacher looking to transition into the rewarding world of specialist provisions, this role offers the chance to deliver a highly creative, child-centred curriculum. Creative Autonomy: Move away from rigid SATs preparation and focus on sensory-rich, engagement-based learning. Small Class Sizes: Lead a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants in a small classroom environment (typically 6-10 pupils). Specialist Career Development: Gain expertise in leading an EHCP-led classroom. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £140 - £233, paid every Friday via Randstad.

Job Responsibility:

  • Bespoke Lesson Delivery: Adapt the Primary curriculum into sensory stories, practical Life Skills sessions, and play-based learning
  • Communication Leadership: Utilise total communication environments incorporating Makaton, PECS, and Colourful Semantics
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Physios to integrate therapeutic goals
  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of LSAs/TAs

Requirements:

  • QTS

  • experience or genuine interest in Autism (ASC), PMLD, SLD, or SEMH
