Job Description:

This welcoming through‑school in Chichester is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic SEND Classroom Assistant to join their brilliant primary phase. This is the perfect role for someone who loves working with children, thrives in a team environment, and wants a school where training, development and progression are part of everyday life.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils with SEND in class and small groups
  • Helping children with communication, confidence and independence
  • Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging activities
  • Creating a calm, positive classroom environment where every child feels valued
  • Encouraging emotional regulation, social skills, and learning through play

Requirements:

  • Are warm, patient and genuinely enjoy working with children
  • Can work well as part of a supportive team
  • Have some SEN or school experience (ideal, but not essential)
  • Are reliable, proactive and full of positive energy
  • Have a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply
