Specialist SEN Support Assistant Location: Redhill Daily Rate: £90.00 - £95.00 Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only) The Role Do you possess a genuine drive to transform the lives of students with additional learning requirements? We are looking for a motivated, steadfast, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join our expert academic teams throughout Redhill. You will play a pivotal role in assisting students with diverse complex requirements-including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges-empowering them to achieve their full academic and social potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver Targeted Assistance: Partner with specific cohorts or individual learners to provide a reliable foundation for their success
  • Execute EHCP Goals: Utilise Education, Health and Care Plans to facilitate customised learning objectives and developmental milestones
  • Manage Behavioural Needs: Apply uniform techniques to navigate complex behaviours and encourage healthy emotional self-regulation
  • Foster Independence: Enhance students' interpersonal skills and self-reliance, guiding them through social exchanges and everyday habits
  • Engage in Teamwork: Act as a crucial member of a diverse professional group, including classroom teachers, SENCOs, and visiting specialists
  • Provide Personal Care: Offer assistance with personal care as needed, maintaining the student's dignity and wellbeing at all times

Requirements

  • Practical experience assisting learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD)
  • Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or substantial relevant professional history
