Job Description:

Our Partner is a specialist SEMH primary provision in Wigan, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary SEMH Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching for KS1 and KS2 pupils (Years 3-6). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young learners in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS1 & KS2 pupils, adapting teaching to meet SEMH and Autism needs
  • Implement effective behaviour and classroom management strategies
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to create tailored learning plans
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that motivates and inspires pupils
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and reporting as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Proven experience supporting SEMH or Autism pupils
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills
  • No convictions
  • able to work with vulnerable children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on pupils' learning and wellbeing
