Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for 2 Teaching Assistants with previous experience to support in a Y1 class as a general TA in Stevenage for a long term position. Your role will be to support the teacher, whole class, small groups and 1:1 for specific support and progress. At this point in the academic year SAT's and attainment will be an area of focus, so prior intervention, SAT's and a curriculum knowledge will be preferred skills. This is a full time position - Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:30

Job Responsibility:

Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
Working with small groups and 1:1
Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot

Requirements:

An Enhanced child DBS on the update service
Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
Able to make an impression on both us and our client
Previous experience working with children is required
Flexibly adhere to the needs of the pupils in a professional and friendly manner
Good classroom management skills

Nice to have:

Prior intervention, SAT's and a curriculum knowledge
