Job Description:

Randstad is actively looking for an experienced individual to join a welcoming Primary School team in Hatfield Someone who is firm but fair and has a nurturing approach to working with pupils. You must be adaptable and flexible to using a range of strategies to positively impact the pupil's behaviour for learning. You should have prior experience of working in a school environment. This role begins from January 2026 on a Long term contract!

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
  • Be responsible for making sure each lesson has the correct preparation and materials
  • Understand the pupils needs individually, including those with educational special needs
  • Working with small groups and 1:1
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to make an impression on both us and our client
  • Previous experience in Schools preferred
  • 2 recent professional references (this is essential)
  • Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
  • Good classroom management skills
