Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and conscientious teaching assistant to work in a mainstream primary setting in Hitchin. You will be based in a primary classroom, providing support and guidance to all children alongside general classroom duties. This is a very fulfilling employment role where you can truly impact children's lives and provide a memorable school experience!

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
  • Working with small groups and 1:1
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
  • Assisting students in the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced child DBS on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to make an impression on both us and our client
  • Previous experience in Primary Schools is preferred
  • Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
  • Good classroom management skills

Nice to have:

  • A level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification
  • Experience working across a range of age groups and abilities
