Job Description:

Teaching Assistants required to work in Watford ASAP. Two seasoned teaching assistants are presently needed in one of our partner schools in Watford. The school needs you to support learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
  • Be responsible for making sure each lesson has the correct preparation and materials
  • Understand the pupils needs individually, including those with educational special needs
  • Working with small groups and 1:1
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to make an impression on both us and our client
  • Previous experience in Schools preferred
  • 2 recent professional references (this is essential)
  • Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
  • Good classroom management skills
