Randstad Education is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants for various Primary Schools in Ware to start soon. This role will involve supporting the learning of the child and ensuring they are engaging with the wider school life. The schools we hire for, have strong links to the community and are looking for individuals who are talented and committed. As a successful Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work, encourage and inspire pupils each day. You will assist teachers to achieve academic goals and ensure the safety of children. You must be able to use your understanding of education and learning to promote outstanding outcomes for all pupils at all times. It is essential that you have an understanding of the National Curriculum and how this can effectively be supported in a fun and creative way. This is a full time role available to start as soon as possible on a fixed term contract.
Job Responsibility:
Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
Assisting students during class making sure they are on track
Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
Working with small groups and 1:1
Safeguarding children
Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress
Having a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
Requirements:
An Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
Able to make an impression on both us and our client
Previous experience in Schools preferred
2 recent professional references (this is essential)
Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
Good classroom management skills
