With a strong leadership team and a collaborative staff culture, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a well-regarded local school. This is a long-term supply position, providing consistency and the opportunity to become an integral part of the school community. You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning and development, both in and out of the classroom. The role may involve working with small groups or providing 1:1 support, including supporting pupils with additional needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources
  • Support pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage positive participation and engagement in lessons
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff

Requirements:

  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Flexibility and commitment to a long-term role
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Nice to have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH)
  • Experience working within UK primary schools
What we offer:
  • Supportive and friendly working environment
  • Strong leadership and mentoring from experienced staff
  • Opportunity to gain long-term, consistent experience
  • Potential for the role to be extended or become permanent
