Job Description:

St Catherine of Siena Primary school is seeking applicants keen to begin or continue their teaching career in a school committed to the Vision of Instruction and practices informed by cognitive science. The school is making meaningful changes to close educational gaps and maximise student learning in a routine-driven, calm, and safe environment.

Job Responsibility:

Implement the Vision for Instruction in a positive learning environment
Maintain a child safe environment where wellbeing is the first priority
Close educational gaps and maximise student learning
Embed strong, predictable routines into practice
Employ responsive teaching strategies using school-wide checking for understanding strategies
Possess high expectations for all students

Requirements:

Knowledge in, or willingness to learn about MAC’s Vision for Instruction & Engagement
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Manage behaviour in line with Positive Behaviour for Learning framework
Work productively within a team environment
Eager to embrace the Catholic ethos of the school
Committed to child safety and maintaining best practices
Read and committed to upholding Child Safety Standards
Abide by the MACS Code of Conduct
Hold a current VIT registration
Complete and send the attached E1334 Application For Employment Form
