Job Description

Are you a Primary Teacher in the Torbay area looking for a true work-life balance? Randstad Education is currently recruiting for a Qualified Teacher (QTS) for an immediate/term-time start. The standout feature of this teaching position is zero planning and preparation. All curriculum resources, lesson plans, and teaching materials are fully provided by the school. Your focus is strictly on high-quality delivery, pupil engagement, and classroom management during core school hours.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver pre-planned, creative lessons across the Primary National Curriculum (EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on preference)
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management within the classroom
  • Provide live marking and verbal feedback to pupils during the school day
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school staff
  • Adhere to school safeguarding and child protection policies

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching within a UK Primary School setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and adaptability
  • A current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
  • Right to work in the UK
