King’s School The Crown is built in extensive grounds offering world-class educational and sporting facilities, enabling students to pursue a diverse range of interests. Our purpose-Built Campus of over 40,000m2 located in the heart of Cairo's most prestigious gated community, The Crown, 6th October city. This school is the first in the region to cater to students from 3 months up to 18 years with state-of-the-art facilities, including: a full football field, 400m athletic track , 25m 8 lane covered swimming pool with learner pool, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, outdoor multipurpose courts and a 522 seat Performing Arts theatre. We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary School Music Teacher, to join King’s School The Crown in August 2026, on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will have the ability and experience to work in a British curriculum school and teach Music to KS1 and KS2 students.

Job Responsibility

  • Excellence in Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver inspiring, well-structured lessons that promote intellectual curiosity, creativity, and academic rigour. Ensure learning is appropriately differentiated to meet the diverse needs of pupils, enabling all to make exceptional progress in line with the school’s curriculum and standards
  • Assessment and Academic Progress: Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor, evaluate, and support pupil achievement. Provide timely, constructive feedback to foster improvement and a commitment to high standards in every learner
  • Promoting the King’s Ethos: Uphold and embody the values and ethos of King’s School The Crown, ensuring that pupils are nurtured in an environment that promotes integrity, respect, and a genuine love of learning
  • Professional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across subjects and phases to share expertise, develop best practice, and contribute to a culture of professional growth and innovation
  • Contribution to School Life: Play an active role in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular and enrichment programmes. Support school events and initiatives that enhance the educational experience and strengthen the sense of community

Requirements

  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study
  • A genuine passion for education, with the ability to engage, motivate, and positively impact young people
  • A proven track record of excellence in personal, academic, and professional achievements
  • In-depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress
  • Expertise in assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and enhancing student performance, including in external assessments
  • Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing, with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently and a track record of establishing strong, positive relationships with families
  • A commitment to their own continuous professional development
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, flexible, and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment
  • Ability and experience to work in a British curriculum school and teach Music to KS1 and KS2 students
