Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Homeroom Teacher to join our team for a maternity leave cover from mid-April to the end of June 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to guide young learners through their academic journey, nurturing their social, emotional, and personal development in a supportive environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Teach and lead a primary class following IB PYP and curriculum standards
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across core subjects
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports holistic student development
  • Use inquiry-based learning to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
  • Regularly assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school initiatives
  • Encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities and ensure their social and personal growth
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide effective feedback to students and parents

Requirements:

  • A degree in Education or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification
  • Teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school
  • Knowledge and experience with inquiry-based and student-centred teaching methods
  • Proven ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • A commitment to contributing to the wider school community
