Job Description

We are looking for a committed and reliable individual who is ready to take on a new and exciting role, within a Primary classroom setting in Watford to start from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in teaching and grow as a professional within the education environment, the first step to becoming a fully qualified educator.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the progression of the assigned children - academically, socially and emotionally
  • Develop a behaviour or learning reward scheme that incorporates the child's likes and interests
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities and provide feedback on pupil progress
  • Monitor and track the development of children, supporting their personal development and confidence

Requirements

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in UK (Sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Good class management skills
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to engage with and build connections with children
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in supporting style
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with children (must be able to provide 2 professional references)
