Job Description

Do you have experience working in schools supporting children to achieve their goals? Are you able to help learners understand difficult concepts in an engaging manner? We are looking for a committed and reliable individual who is ready to take on a new and exciting role, within a Primary classroom setting in Watford to start from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in teaching and grow as a professional within the education environment, the first step to becoming a fully qualified educator.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the progression of the assigned children - academically, socially and emotionally
  • Develop a behaviour or learning reward scheme that incorporates the child's likes and interests
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities and provide feedback on pupil progress
  • Monitor and track the development of children, supporting their personal development and confidence

Requirements

  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in UK (Sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Good class management skills
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to engage with and build connections with children
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in supporting style
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with children (must be able to provide 2 professional references)
