Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective Primary English Teacher to join us from August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary School, delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students across the primary years. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging, well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum, fostering a love of learning and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independence. Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the primary curriculum, ensuring progression in students’ learning
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiated instruction
  • Support the development of critical thinking, independence, and a love of learning in all students
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives
  • Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour

Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching in Primary School
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
  • A high level of English proficiency, with excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
