Primary ECT | Supportive, Friendly & Nurturing School | Hackney | September 2026 Q – Are you a Primary ECT looking for a supportive school to complete your ECT years at? If so, Ryan at EdEx may have the perfect Primary ECT vacancy for September for you! We have worked with this Hackney based Primary School for the last 12 months in that time we have visited the school twice, meeting the Headteacher (who is FABULOUS), the SLT, support staff and pupils. The Headteacher was part of the "founding family" over 8 years' ago, since then she has taken the school from strength to strength. This schools aren't just uber successful academically, the school is child-led, and pupil first in everything they do. The Headteacher is simply wonderful to work with, passionate, lovely and just a real powerhouse. Some key highlights of the school below: Headteacher, SLT and ALL Staff are super down to earth and friendly, all working together for pupils' Friend focus – Everyone has a partner / friend at the school that they can talk to at any given time. Plenty of ECT support from strong ECT mentors Wellbeing events across the School / Trust SLT will flex in when teachers need time to rest or reset Big focus on communication – they would rather ensure you are supported before you become burnt out or start struggling – this way they can act quicker! Marking parties – Where other people mark each other's books / support one another Flexible PPA Time with a full-time PPA Teacher covering PPA Speech and Language Therapist (4 days a week), School Counsellor (for staff 5 days a week) & so much more! Large outdoor space, nurture and sensory rooms with well-equipped classrooms and resources Ideally the Headteacher is looking for a Primary ECT who is flexible teaching across KS1 and KS2, she likes to see teachers in action then chat with you to find the best fitting year group based on your strengths and weaknesses as a teacher and each particular class / year group. This Primary ECT role is for a September 2026 start, directly employed by the school on a permanent contract.
