Job Description:

The British School in Madrid is seeking an adaptable, committed, and enthusiastic Primary Cover Teacher to join our team with immediate start. This role is ideal for a flexible, skilled practitioner who can confidently deliver high-quality learning across different year groups within the Primary School.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
Provide high-quality cover across EYFS and Primary year groups as required
Ensure continuity of learning through clear planning, feedback, and classroom management
Support the pastoral needs and wellbeing of pupils
Maintain a positive, orderly, and inclusive learning environment
Uphold all school policies, including safeguarding and professional standards
Support wider school duties as part of the Primary team

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching in a British curriculum Primary setting and high level of English
Strong classroom management and the ability to adapt teaching across age groups
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all pupils
