In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and navigating multi-layered deal structures, conducting in-depth evaluation of loan-level data, and staying ahead of evolving market trends. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include executing trades, guiding positions, and contributing to overall portfolio strategy while working closely with internal stakeholders such as structuring, origination, and risk teams. In addition, you will maintain and cultivate relationships with a broad range of investors and counterparties, ensuring effective communication and alignment across all touchpoints.
Job Responsibility:
Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters
Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks
Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines
Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions
Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness
Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions
Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function
Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes
Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done
Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function
Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy
Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively
Communicate complex information
Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes
Requirements:
Deep understanding of CMBS structures, bond math, and prepayment modeling
Proficiency with Bloomberg, Intex, Trepp, and Excel (including VBA)
Experience in commercial real estate finance, credit assessment, or securitization
Knowledge of credit rating methodologies and regulatory frameworks
Series 7, 63 and 79 preferred
Nice to have:
Ample strategy skills with contending priorities with balanced risk assessment
Clear, positive communicator of trade rationale and market views
Confirmed ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
High attention to detail in documentation, pricing, and execution
