Job Description:

A California state correctional facility in Represa, CA is looking for primary care physicians for the outpatient unit. These positions are a 6-month locum tenen term with the ability to extend. Multiple shift schedules are available.

Job Responsibility:

Diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses
Performing routine check-ups and health maintenance exams
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
Adhering to the facility's policies and procedures, as well as applicable legal and ethical standards
Educating patients about preventive care and health maintenance
Prescribing medications and adjusting dosages as necessary
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
Contributing to the rehabilitation and reintegration efforts

Requirements:

Current CA, MD or DO License
DEA
Board Certification in Internal or Family Medicine
ACLS certification from American Heart Association
