Make a real difference in a child's life! Full-Time, Crawley. You will be providing dedicated one-to-one support to a primary school student with additional needs. This involves assisting with their learning, promoting independence, and collaborating closely with the classroom teacher to ensure their individual needs are met. You'll be creating engaging learning experiences, monitoring progress, and building a strong, supportive relationship with the student.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering individualised learning support tailored to the student's needs
Assisting with lesson preparation and delivery
Monitoring student progress and reporting to the classroom teacher and parents
Building a positive and supportive relationship with the student
Collaborating effectively with the classroom teacher and other support staff
Adapting teaching materials to suit the student's learning style
Providing pastoral care and support to the student
Requirements:
Proven experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and understanding of diverse learning needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for supporting student's learning and well-being
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are beneficial
Commitment to safeguarding children
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Nice to have:
