Are you an experienced and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Crawley? This full-time position allows you to make a significant positive impact on a child's learning journey and development within a supportive school environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary school student, assisting with their learning activities and promoting independence
Help with the preparation and delivery of lessons, adapting materials as needed for the student
Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions and consistently monitor the student's academic and personal progress
Maintain regular and effective communication with the classroom teacher, parents/guardians, and other relevant professionals regarding the student's development
Offer pastoral support, encouraging positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional well-being
Accompany the student on school trips, extracurricular activities, and other educational outings as required
Requirements:
Proven prior experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or behavioural challenges is highly advantageous
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
A high degree of patience, understanding, and empathy
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
A genuine passion for supporting student's learning, development, and overall well-being
Relevant qualifications or significant experience in education, childcare, or a related field are beneficial
Nice to have:
