The Pricing Manager leads the development, analysis, and submission of compliant and competitive pricing strategies and developing pricing proposals for government solicitations. This role requires experience in DoD contracting, cost/pricing data, and collaboration with capture, contracts, operations, and proposal teams.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the development of cost and price volumes for competitive DoD proposals, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, FAR, DFARS, and Yulista policies
Coordinate proposal pricing activities from cradle to grave collaborating with Program Management, Contracts, Business Development, Operations, and Purchasing
Provide counsel to proposal bid teams on pricing strategy and related financial issues
Analyze solicitation documents to identify pricing requirements, develop cost models, identify potential risks, and provide mitigation
Develop indirect cost pools and conduct rate forecasting
Develop and lead pricing strategy from gate review to submittal
Present pricing recommendations at gate reviews providing financial business case and risk assessment data developed from mathematical and statistical methods of analysis to executive management
Create estimates of profitability and likely costs
Analyze historical pricing and past performance
Maintain accurate, auditable files for proposals, audits, and backups and cooperate with government audits and requests
Maintain templates and databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
7+ years of experience in pricing, cost estimating, or finance in a government contracting environment (DoD experience required)
Extensive experience with DoD requirements, including FAR and DFAR
Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and leadership skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
Strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently
Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and assess impacts across multiple areas
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with mastery of Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, Nested IF/THEN, Data Validations)
Experience developing DoD cost volumes and support audits and negotiations
Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ)
Experience with CBA, SCA, and DBA
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective oral and technical written communication skills
Ability to learn and apply corporate policies and procedures
