Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced Pricing and Yield Analyst for our Uber Retail and Grocery Deal Desk team. This role will be responsible for enabling growth through deal support, pricing discipline, and governance. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to manage end-to-end deal flow. In this role you will act as a strategic advisor to the sales organization, helping to structure high-value partnerships with major retailers, small businesses, and grocers while ensuring long-term health and profitability. This role requires someone with deep analytical skills who is able to dive deep into financial details and simultaneously have a big picture in mind.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deal Pricing and Structuring: Model economics of complex commercial retail deals, balancing aggressive growth targets with margin requirements and yield optimization
  • Yield Management: Leverage SQL to provide data analysis on pricing trends, take-rates and other pricing metrics to provide pricing recommendations to leadership
  • Approvals and Governance: Ensure compliance with Salesforce by owning deal documentation quality, pricing inputs and data integrity while coordinating cross functional approvals with Finance and Legal teams
  • Process Improvements: Able to improve both processes as well as models that may involve working with Tech, Product and Data teams to create new functionalities, dashboards or tools for commercial teams
  • Reporting and Analytics: Assist in building out, tracking and reporting key Deal Desk metrics

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Pricing Analysis, or a related analytical field
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • Understanding of commercial contracting, pricing principles, and deal governance
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL (Ability to query large datasets without assistance)
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, CPQ tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and deal management systems
  • Based in Sydney/Melbourne

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary pricing liaison, working with Data Science to model demand elasticity and predictive inventory, and with Finance for margin and profitability analysis
  • Provide Data Insights and Recommendations: Regularly deliver clear, actionable data insights and strategic recommendations to leadership regarding pricing performance, potential risks, and opportunities for monetization optimization
  • Manage Communication and Governance: Manage all internal and external communications regarding pricing updates, policy changes, and strategic rationale across Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams
  • Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor the advertising landscape and competitor pricing strategies, analyzing impact and recommending proactive adjustments to maintain a strategic market advantage
