The Pricing Analyst supports all pricing activities related to both new customer opportunities and existing accounts. This role provides analytical insight to develop competitive, market-aligned pricing strategies across customer segments. The analyst collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Strategy to address pricing inquiries, ensure accurate maintenance and updates of pricing records, and contributes to special projects as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze pricing and market data to identify trends, assess competitive positioning, and deliver actionable recommendations that align with business objectives
Support pricing approval workflows, including the setup of new customers and the maintenance of pricing data within systems
Ensure accuracy and integrity of customer pricing by inputting, validating, and maintain pricing records and price sheets
Monitor and review key pricing components such as discounts, promotions, and marketing funds, and provide insights and recommendations
Communicate clear pricing processes and approval requirements to the sales team
Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing to understand market dynamics and evaluate current pricing strategies
Contribute to special projects and ad hoc analyses to support business priorities
Requirements:
BS in Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field preferred
Preferred but not required, 2+ years of pricing and/or finance related experience, preferably in a distributed services organization
Strong data analysis skills
experience with financial or business modeling is a plus
Proficiency with Excel
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Self-starter with a proactive mindset who can generate ideas, improve processes, and act with minimal direction
Ability to drive change and implement best practices to enhance operational performance
Attention to detail with strong organization skills and ability to manage complex data sets
Experience working with Salesforce, CPQ, or pricing software is preferred but not required
Familiarity with financial reporting
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research, analyze, and develop actionable recommendations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
