As a Commercial Deals Pricing Analyst within the Woolworths at Work team, you underpin the strategic and commercial ownership of customer deals by balancing price competitiveness, profitability, and scalability. You serve as the primary pricing consultant for Sales and Business Development teams, translating complex deal economics into actionable commercial solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring our high-growth B2B contracts are structured for maximum value and long-term net profitability.
Job Responsibility:
Deal Structuring & Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to simulate various pricing scenarios and create customer-specific P&Ls
Profitability Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses into key profit drivers to provide data-driven commercial recommendations
Pricing Strategy & Guardrails: Maintain and continuously improve proposition value methodologies and pricing guardrails
Commercial Support: Serve as a consultant to Sales teams, performing 'what-if' scenario analysis
Market Intelligence: Proactively monitor competitor pricing actions and market trends
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all deal structures and pricing decisions adhere to internal policies, discount guidelines, legal requirements, and governance frameworks
Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate pricing workflows through the configuration of CPQ tools and SQL-based data management
Requirements:
3+ years in financial, pricing, or commercial analysis (retail, FMCG, or B2B preferred)
Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related quantitative field
Expert Excel skills for complex modeling and large datasets
Advanced SQL proficiency for data extraction (ideally in GCP environments)
Strong financial literacy and commercial acumen
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experienced with Salesforce Suite (CPQ) or BI tools (Tableau/Power BI)
Comfortable using SAP for data management and integrity
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, sales-driven environments
Self-starter with a focus on process simplification, workflow automation, and challenging the status quo
