Opportunity Consultants help drive business outcomes by working hand in hand with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering and Business Unit to provide a cost optimized solution to allow the company to succeed in the marketplace. The Opportunity Consultant is also responsible for ensuring all costs are recognized once the product ships and working with GEO leads when discrepancies arise.
Job Responsibility:
Establish comprehensive P&L review
Cost review with procurement
BOM optimization with engineering
Alignment with services pricing strategy as appropriate
Pricing strategy approvals
Drive price changes as appropriate to stay within strategy
Proactively offer suggestions on how HPE could improve margins
Aid, consult and assist the GEO finance and deal teams on established pricing margins
Ensure pricing deliverables are completed in accordance with customer deadlines
Actively seek out opportunities for improvement in efficiency in pricing related processes.
Requirements:
Affinity for numbers & strong financial modeling skills
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand pricing implications
Intellectual curiosity to look for a good solution in order to get to the best one
Diplomacy & Tact: Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Flexible Tenacity: Ability to drive work to a completion, while remaining flexible to other ideas
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Power Automate and MS CoPilot skills
Minimum 5+ years business operations, finance, sales operations, supply chain, procurement or pricing experience
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business, or Statistics. MBA Preferred.
Nice to have:
Embraces new technologies and is familiar with tools like PowerBI, Power Automate, and Microsoft CoPilot.
